UKCEH has released the newly updated UKCEH Land Cover® plus Pesticides product, adding multi‑year time slices to our national pesticide mapping dataset.
This update means we can explore how patterns of pesticide use evolve across both space and time. By combining existing monitoring data with high‑resolution land‑cover information, the dataset helps build a clearer picture of relative environmental risk from pesticides, supporting evidence‑based decision‑making.
Annual pesticide applications across England, Wales and Scotland are mapped at a 1km resolution for 183 active ingredients in three time slices (2012-2014, 2016-2018, 2020-2022).
